Our charges
- Registered Electrician — minimum one-hour charge: $85.00 + GST
- Vehicle/service charge — depending on location: $30.00–$45.00 + GST
- After-hours call-out fee including first hour: $270.00 + GST
- Electrical Safety Certificate: $20.00
- Certificate of Compliance: $25.00
- Monthly compounding interest charge: 5.00%
- Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise arranged.
- Deposits and progress invoices may be required before or during work.
After-hours call-out fee
Normal business hours are 7:00am–5:00pm Monday to Friday. Work outside these hours may be subject to an after-hours call-out fee.
Vehicle and service fee
This charge covers vehicle operation, travel time, administration and insurance. Parking permits, tolls and paid parking required for a job may be passed on.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Appointments can be rescheduled. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel. A cancellation fee may apply when an appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours.
Payment, deposits and progress invoices
Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise arranged. Some jobs require a deposit before work begins. Progress invoices may be issued for labour and materials completed to date.
Unpaid accounts
If payment remains outstanding for more than 20 days from the invoice due date, a 5% compounding monthly interest charge may apply. Debt collection costs may also be added.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide clear access to the work site, identify underground services where relevant, and ensure supplied materials are fit for purpose.
Warranties and compliance
Electrical 4U provides workmanship support as set out in its terms. Customers and Electrical 4U must comply with applicable New Zealand laws, regulations and site safety requirements.
